Wow, this site just died =(

Talk about anything and everything

No one posts here any more. What happened? :(

I would have thought at least you WoW players would be more active. But there hasn't been a new post since "Happy New Year"...and that was nearly 4 months ago.

Come on, everybody. Check in! Who's alive? Who's dead? If you're dead & posting, please don't haunt me Image . What's new?

As for what's new with me. Not much. My daughter is turning 1 years old in a couple of weeks (April 9th). So that's a big deal for all of us. Being a dad is great...except now she's entering the bratty phase. She's starting to have small temper tantrums when she doesn't get her way and she started biting. I'm the first one to scold her when she acts up. I speak in a deep voice and say sternly 'NO BITE!" If she does it a 2nd time, I will take 2 fingers and slap the back of her hand (no hard enough to make a mark, but hard enough that it stings a bit). I personally believe in spankings, but my wife thinks it may be too early to swat her hand like I do. She may be right. I just have no idea how to discipline someone that young. You can't explain to them why what they're doing is wrong. And I'm not sure if she's too young for negative reinforcement (i.e. - the swat on her hand).

As for video games, I'm still not playing any. I just don't have the time. I bought Bioshock and Half Life 2 Orange Box when they came out. I played Bioshock for probably a total of 4 hours. And I haven't even sparked up HL2 Episode 2 yet. Like I said, I just don't have the time. It sucks 'cuz I really miss gaming.

As for new toys, I just purchased a new guitar amp. A Marshall AVT150X. I love the thing. It's awesome and it's the first amp I've had in years. It was pretty cool sparking up my electric guitar for the first time in nearly a decade. I got the amp off of ebay. The thing list prices for $1000, but some guy screwed up the listing so no one bid on it. I got it for $306. It's in MINT shape. Not a scratch on it. He even included his original sales receipt and he purchased it in Oct. 2006. So, it's still got the bulk of the 5 year Manufacturer's Transferable Warranty.

That's pretty much everything for me. Work is the same. Friends are the same.

Let me know what you're all up to.

Heeeeey! I check here every once in a while.. once a week maybe. I dunno where everyone went :(

It doesn't seem that long ago that you posted about your daughter. Man, this time thing only seems gets worse. Anyway, I don't have much to offer when it comes to parenting. I only know about annoying the parents and trust me.. I'm definitely awesome in that field :D All I can say is always remember that they're just kids.

Games.. oh, the games. I'm in college, so when I'm not working (at times when I should be), that's one of the main things I'm doing. Also mackin' on the ladies and going to parties. It's a hell of a time and I'm definitely soaking it up (I've taken an interest in mixing drinks.. I'm always mixing drinks for people at parties). Any game that's been released recently for PC and Xbox 360, I've played (either legally or illegally :o). I'm currently working on Prey.. it's a decent game worth the $5 it cost me on Steam.

Still 19, btw.. I'll be 20 this year, though. Next year, it'll be time to hit the casinos and go in with $20 and come back with $1000. Or nothing. Haha :D Put a dollar in, get a car; put a dollar in, get a car...

Work! Oh, wow.. I landed this awesome network administration job at the apartment I live in. I only get $300 a month, but it's for basically doing nothing. There are seriously time periods of 2-3 weeks where I don't have anything to do and at the end of the month get $300 sent to my mailbox. I make my own hours unless my boss calls me and tells me to do something. Great job for college.

No new toys.. I just keep upgrading my computer :) I HAVE started to dip into the guitar world.. you know, it's college. I have to impress the babes ;) I suck horribly, though. It's a good thing I have a musical background to know that I do

Where you going to school at, Killer? Man, you're in college...you're right, time flies. I remember when you were 13 years old (or around that age) and joining HoH. Damn son, that was a longggggg time ago - lol. Oh, and I hope you're putting those "tips" I gave you to good use on the ladies in college. I'm sure they really appreciate it ;) .

Your college job does sound sweet though. A nice easy way to bring in a few hundred bucks a month. Very nice.

Well, good luck with school, Killer. Take it easy, and make sure to have fun (which it sounds like you are).

Post some partying pics if you ever get the chance. I'm sure you've got some good ones. Man, I wish they had digital cameras when I was in school. That would have been GREAT!!!

Old age is settling in... this confounded confangled Internets thing that used to be simple has become too much for my addled foggy old brain... er... um... nah.

I even stopped posting on [R]age... weird. Ever since they really started getting their panties bunched at work about forums and stuff, I just have not really posted.

At home, well - I was doing that WoW thing - and aside from the WoW forums; I was not really doing much of anything but WoW.

I cancelled again (heh, I cancelled last month and started up again on the day it expired). This time though (I have only logged in twice in the past week) I might be able to kick the habit for a spell.

Seriously though, much of it came down to people getting older and focusing more on their families and other things.

Or just some politics here and there as old friendships, died - etc.

I think we are struck with a general malaise of reality - even if we have not recognized it.

There is a certain bit of fun that has been extinguished as the cost of everything goes up yet our pay does not... and we realize that in a year or two we will not be able to afford to live, even as we are at least scraping by at the moment...

I think I am going to start playing EVE Online again though... cause, well - it is cheaper than drinking myself in to a stupor every night...
