Ok, the beta week is over, so I figured I'd do a final post in this thread. The game is competent and fairly polished, but in the end it wasn't engaging to me at all. Everyone in the beta seemed to love the game, but not me. Maybe I am jaded. Maybe they were desparate for a WoW replacement. Who knows. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad game. It just isn't good enough to get my money.

I started playing the DDO:EU free thing (www.ddo.com). Had not played the game since beta way back when. It is sad, alternating between free AO and free DDO.

I keep looking at mmorpg.com, but nothing reaches out and quite grabs me.

Each time I have seen a game that I think might do it, they end up dumbing the game down.
