So we're less than 1/2 a day away from the Early Access launch of SWTOR. Do you know where you guys will be playing? Some of the server list has leaked already, and I suspect that by tomorrow we'll pretty much know what they are.

Shikse and I were by no means the first to pre-order, so I'm sure we'll be last on whatever list to get in. But I'd still like to hit the ground running, and not have to start over on another server.

Whatever you know, time to fess up! ;]

Ok, all I know so far is that the folks from my WoW guild have been assigned to the server: Lord Praven. My personal opinion is that since the WoW guild is going to continue as usual, this sister SWTOR guild is destined to fail, but some decent relationships might some out of it.. and I want to keep that door open in case we get into bigger group things later in the game. So, I will be creating at least one Republic toon on that server. I am pretty sure that if that guild comes to anything, I can get you in and that is a decent way to have people to do things with and learn from.

Problem: Wake is apparently a still upset and if he buys the game (which he has shown no interest in yet) and you are in that guild, he'll need to learn to deal or whatever. When I brooched the topic of you guys getting over your differences, the response wasn't promising, so there ya are. But, if he isn't buying the game right away and you guys are interested in a guild for people do shit with, let me know... because you know how unreliable I can be as a playing partner,

Also, because I am not all that confident in any WoW friends actually making a guild work, I am also going to probably have an Empire toon or 2 on Shadow Hand. The server list already has it marked as a medium population server and while that might mean queues early on, it also means a more robust economy and crafting community down the road. Also, Shadow Hand is an Eastern time server, where Lord Praven in West.

I pre-ordered the first day possible and redeemed my code on day 2, so I am actually shedding a little tear right now about not waking up to an invitation email. I was really hoping to log in a grab my desired names before I left for work.

Lol, yeah I guess that's going to have to be Wake's problem. I really have no room in my life for drama. Gaming should be a distraction from reality - don't understand why so many people don't get that. =]

Anyway.. yeah. Let me know as soon as you're in and where you are. Sounds like wherever it is you'll be there first. Mind if Shikse and I tag along then?

And no, I won't be playing SWTOR. No urge. Ever since Galaxies, I've vowed never to do another MMORPG. $15 a month just isn't worth it. Besides, I still don't get to game much...and that sucks. Kids are 4 1/2 and 3. Still a good few years away from being able to sit down and play uninterrupted.

Hell, I can't even take a crap without the kids running into the bathroom and bugging me.

KIDS: "Daddy! Daddy! Whatcha doing? Will you read me a story?! Can I sit on your lap?"
ME: "NO! Daddy's trying to poop. Can't you go bug your mom?"
KIDS: "But we want play with YOU."

There's no way I could sit down and play a game for 2-3 hours without them grabbing at me and pounding on the keyboard.
