I have dinner with the fam Saturday evening... Sunday might work better for me. Also, I'm travelling next week so I should have 2-3 hours each night to play Mon-Wed or Thurs.

Crap... is it possible to lose a quest progression?

I finished the instance but have no where to turn VC's letter in to?

I tried starting at the beginning of the Defias quest progression, and went thru each step and no one will give me anything...

Am I too high level, did I drop one of the quests accidentally?

I'm bummed b/c I can't get the XP for the instance or the rewards

If I remember right, killing VC ends one quest (turned in at the tower) and looting the letter from him STARTS a new quest when you read it. So my guess is that you need to start the letter quest by reading it.

My problem is that I didn't have the quest that told me to kill him active at the time I did... so I'm kinda lost.

You should be able to pick it back up of you can figure out where you were when you dropped the chain. I'd post a link to the chain steps on Thottbot, but it is banned here at work. =(

I know there is a step in Redridge and a step in Stormwind. Maybe you dropped the chain while you were on those steps?
